Mental health problems affect everyone in our society. You may be feeling alone and hopeless, but you can get better. I’m a skilled cognitive behavioral therapist whose main goal is to help you work through the issues in your life that are causing you distress.
My experience includes treating patients diagnosed with various forms of depression, and anxiety disorders. I have extensive experience in treating trauma patients and women suffering from various forms of PTSD.
I treat both adolescents and adults. I believe in the uniqueness of each person, and implement this core belief into my practice. My goal with treatment is to be able to treat the individual, rather than treat a condition. While traditional treatment models focus on psychopathology alone, I believe that therapy is much more than this. You are more than just a diagnosis.
I have spent a big portion of my career working in local inpatient mental health hospitals. My background in the hospital setting has allowed me to understand the nature of crisis treatment, and strategies for preventing unnecessary hospitalizations.
In addition to my background in mental health, I have an extensive background in substance abuse treatment, including having served as the St. Johns County Adult Drug Court liaison.
I practice at Craft Behavioral health, which is conveniently located across from the Avenues mall. Our practice includes a total of 6 therapists, a psychiatrist, and an ARNP.
